Wedding Dance Student With Rahm
We were so surprised when we saw our student Fidel posing with the Mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel. Fidel caught some camera time with Rahm this past Saturday’s at the 2014 Equality Illinois Gala. Annie and Fidel are students of Windy City Wedding Dance and just wed back in October of 2013. Annie talked about the exiting event all week and couldn’t wait to attend.
This years event featured amazing guests and speeches celebrating the successes achieved through the continuous fight for equality. Annie talked about the importance of the event and what it represents to her family specifically.
If you are reading this now in 2014, you have witnessed historical events that will change our futures forever. Our history books talk about women earning the right to vote, the end of slavery, and the fight for equal rights. Yes, I said books. Do they even exist in schools today? Children today will be reading history on a Kendal, iPad, in a blog, or a global tweet. In less than 5 years we elected our first black president, passed the affordable care act, and passed the vote for same-sex marriage.
Our doors are open for all at Windy City Wedding Dance. We have 3 locations strategically picked in Chicago to support downtown and our favorite Chicago neighborhoods. You can find us us the South Loop, on the corner of River North and the West Loop, and Lincoln Park. We support you in your journey and we hope to make your first dance tell a story they won’t forget.
