THE DANCE

The father daughter dance is a special moment between the two that will be

remembered and cherished forever. A moment to thank each other for everything

they have brought to their lives and a huge milestone for them. The time has come

where a new rock is there for her to hold on to, while she expands her family, and

starts a new exciting life.

TRADITION

Traditionally the father daughter dance is done after the wedding party dance. In

efforts to make the father feel more involved with the wedding planning the

daughter will sometimes let the father pick the song. Whether the father or the

daughter picks the song, it is important to know it well.

CHOOSING THE SONG

There are many songs out there that are OK for a father daughter dance, but there

are a few perfect songs. There is a fine line between a perfect song and a creepy

song. Some songs may seem perfect but need a little editing to avoid the

awkwardness. If you have a song that is almost perfect, you can have your DJ or

band cut parts out.
