Have you chosen your honey moon spot? I don’t know about you but I plan on doing most of my research by asking the people around me. Yesterday I caught a flight to Charlotte, North Carolina to visit some friends and meet up with my fiancé. We were asking our friends about their recommendations for Honey Moons.  Now that we have finally chosen our wedding date, we will need to decide when and where to take our honey moon. My fiancé has been to several of his best friend’s weddings in 2013 and he finally came home with realization that to thoroughly enjoy our honey moon we will need a few days of rest after the wedding. His best friend spent the first two days of his honey moon sleeping and recovering from his wedding. So now that we know to wait a few days before departing for our wedding, where should go. Here are just a few recommendation we heard from couples and friends in the last year.

For instance, our good friend Heather, a Delta Airlines Flight Attendant, says that Bora Bora Tahiti is one the ultimate honey moon destinations. It has great diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, soft white sand, hiking, over water bungalows, with life reefs and breath-taking views. Some claim its the most beautiful Island in the world.

Another one of friends took a trip to the Maldives. I remember the breath-taking pictures of their over water bungalows. Maldives is described as having deep blue seas, turquoise reefs, white sandy beaches and palm trees.  The Maldives is made up 1190 corals islands. 90 of the coral islands are developed for tourism. The Maldives have two distinct seasons. They have a wet season and a dry season so make sure your do your research so you make the best of your trip.

Don’t forget about Thailand. Another one of our dearest friends took his honeymoon to Thailand. Phuket and Phi Phi are some of hot spots in Thailand. Heather, our Delta Airlines Flight Attendant, leaves for Phi Phi next week. The tropical landscape in Thailand is exotic and alive with vibrant bright colors. If you need a visual just rent the movie The Beach with Leonardo De Caprio for a quick reference. You can take a private boat tour to see the Islands. Heather says she will scheduling a ride on an elephant.

So there you have it all our friends hit the tropical destinations. Follow Windy City Wedding Dance to see what their wedding clients have to say.
